Telangana: Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka assures government assistance to Kolhapur rape victim
Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu has condemned the inhumane incident of rape of Chenchu tribal woman Eshwaramma of Kolhapur Mandal of Nagar-Kurnool district. After meeting the victim’s family at NIMS Hospital in the morning, he addressed the media along with local minister Jupally. Describing the incident as shocking and reprehensible, he called upon the entire society to strongly condemn it. Giving details of the immediate medical care of the victim, Minister Jupally Krishna Rao said that she was first shifted to Nagar Kurnool Hospital and later to NIMS Hospital for better treatment.
He also informed that the Chief Minister has been informed about the incident and steps are being taken to get justice for Eshwaramma. Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka assured the public that the government will bear all the expenses of Eshwaramma’s treatment till she recovers completely. He also promised that if the victim does not have a house, her children will be given education in Ashram School and efforts will be made to allocate agricultural land for farming.
