Telangana: Drunk rider hits woman SI, injures her

Sangareddy: A woman sub-inspector was injured when a car hit her while she was checking drunk driving at Jinnaram mandal headquarters on Tuesday morning. SI Nagalakshmi and her team were conducting routine checking at Jinnaram when they tried to stop an Audi car. However, the car driver lost control and hit the SI. Other policemen chased the car and nabbed the driver. The police rushed the injured Nagalakshmi to a local hospital. The accused has been taken into custody.
