Telangana: Infant Jesus Temple to celebrate annual festival

Hyderabad: Parishioners of the Infant Jesus Shrine, Holy Trinity Church in Chikoti Garden, Begumpet, are preparing for the Miraculous Infant Jesus Festival on Sunday.

Prior to the festival, parishioners participated in a nine-day novena. The highlight of the festival will be the High Mass at 11 a.m. on Sunday, celebrated by Archbishop Emeritus Prakasam. In the evening, a procession will be held with the statue of the Infant Jesus. Devotees will sing hymns and novena prayers as the procession passes through the Chikoti Garden area.

Organizing committee member Sindhu Joseph said the church was opened in 1979 and gradually gained popularity as devotees reported receiving blessings and miracles. “Over the years, people from different religions have been drawn to this shrine, and the Most Holy Infant Jesus continues to bless devotees,” she said. Parish Priest Father Gnana Prakash Chinnabathini said that all arrangements have been made to ensure that the festival is celebrated in a disciplined but grand manner.
