Ten accused of Pardi gang who looted more than 1000 arrested in Ghaziabad
The Crime Branch arrested ten accused including the kingpin by revealing the Pardi gang which has committed more than a thousand incidents of loot, theft and dacoity across the country. The kingpin was absconding after the incident of robbery at the doctor’s house in Indirapuram 11 years ago. A reward of 25 thousand was also declared on him.
Goods worth lakhs, tools and catapult have been recovered from the accused from Sihani Gate, Nagar Kotwali and Tronica City police station. According to the police, the gang members used to carry out incidents of theft, robbery and dacoity in Madhya Pradesh, UP and Delhi.
DCP City Nipun Aggarwal told that on May 17, Nehru Nagar resident OP Aggarwal, on May 21, Rajat Singhal, a resident of Model Town, Nagar Kotwali area, and on May 28, goods worth lakhs were stolen from Lalit Kashyap’s house in Ansal Colony, Tronica City. The crime branch arrested Salim alias Salik, Virendra Punwar, Amber Punwar, Babbar alias Kala, Charan alias Baichen Pardi, Tau Pardi, Raghav Pardi, Dharmendra and Tintin, residents of Guna Madhya Pradesh, while disclosing the gang. Virender Punwar, Ambar Punwar and Babbar alias Kala are brothers in a relationship. While the other accused are also relatives and acquaintances. Apart from this, the police has also arrested goldsmith Amar Verma, a resident of Karawal Nagar, Delhi. Salim Pardi is the leader of the gang. In the year 2012, along with his accomplices, he looted the house of Dr. Sukhveer Singh, a resident of Niti Khand, Indirapuram. Taking the family hostage, the miscreants had looted goods worth 15 lakhs.
