Tension in college, professor’s actions caused ruckus
Surajpur. Revati Raman Mishra Govt P.G. A college professor has been accused of molestation by a student. There was a situation of tension in the college regarding this matter. The students raised slogans in front of Surajpur Kotwali police station and demanded strict action.
According to the information received, a few days ago an NSS camp was organized by the college. The college students allege that during the NSS camp in Nevra Pasla, Professor Dr. Anand Kumar Paikra not only misbehaved with the girl students but also molested them. Professor Dr. Anand Kumar Paikra is the Program Officer of NSS. The students say that when they complained about this to the college principal, she did not take them seriously, due to which the students had to go to the police station to lodge a complaint.
On receiving the complaint by the Kotwali police, the police reached the college and brought the professor to the police station for investigation. The demand of the girl students is that strict action should be taken against the professor, so that they do not get college anywhere in the future, and the girls can remain safe. Considering the seriousness of the matter, the police has started investigating the matter. There is talk of further action after investigation.
