Terror of stray dogs increasing in the country, letter reached PM
New Delhi: Congress MP Karti Chidambaram has demanded the Central Government to form a national task force regarding stray dogs. He said that the problem of stray dogs has deepened and to deal with it there is a need to think in a scientific way and constitute a task force. He said that with the initiative of the Central Government, the administration can prepare a plan to deal with the problem of stray dogs.
He wrote on social media platform X, ‘We need a task force to immediately deal with the problem of stray dogs. For this there is a need to adopt an ethical and scientific method. We have put the seriousness of this matter before the PMO. Let us tell you that after the death of Parag Desai, Executive Director of Wagh Bakri Tea Group, this matter has been raised with Karti Chidambaram. He lost his life after falling due to dog attack.
49 year old Parag Desai had gone out for a morning walk when some stray dogs tried to attack him. Parag Desai fell and hit his head. He was admitted to the hospital in Ahmedabad on the evening of 15 October. However, there was no mark of dog bite on his body. When Nutabik Desai of Shailbai Hospital, Ahmedabad was brought to the hospital, he had a head injury. He was in an unconscious state due to brain injury. However, there was no mark of dog bite on his body.
Desai was kept in ICU for 72 hours. Sarkhej police had registered a case of accidental death. Let us tell you that Desai was one of the two directors of the company. Paras Desai is also the executive director along with Parag Desai. Parag did MBA from America. Many such incidents have come to light in the country when stray dogs have taken the lives of children.
