Terror of wild elephants, killed an elderly woman

Hazaribagh. The menace of wild elephants is increasing in Jharkhand. In different districts of the state, the news of terror of elephants has been continuously coming to the fore. The latest case has come to light from Hazaribagh, where a wild elephant attacked an elderly woman and killed her by thrashing her. During this, her two grandsons present with the woman somehow saved their lives by running away. The deceased woman has been identified as 62-year-old Jagani Devi, a resident of Pipcho, Daru. It is being told that on Thursday morning, the wild elephant, separated from the herd, created a lot of uproar. Jagani Devi was sleeping in the house with her two grandsons. Meanwhile, the elephant broke the door of the house and attacked Jagani Devi. The elephant killed the elderly woman by slapping her. Both the grandsons of Jagani Devi fled on the roof of the house, thereby saving their lives. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the Forest Department team reached the spot and provided financial assistance to the victim’s family. Forest Department officials have said that after completion of the paper process, proper compensation will be given to the relatives of the deceased. The police have taken the body of the deceased woman in custody and sent it for postmortem. On the other hand, after this incident, the relatives of the deceased are in bad condition by crying.
