The accused in the murder case was arrested within 24 hours
Khairagarh. Information was received through telephone late at night that a person has been murdered in village Kukurmuda. Police station in-charge trainee Deputy Superintendent of Police Ms. Pratibha Lahare informed the senior officers about the information received and immediately reached the spot with a team to verify the information. On questioning the people present at the Kukurmuda incident site, the deceased was identified as Ganesh Nishad, son of Asharam Nishad, age 23 years, village Kukurmuda. According to the information, the deceased Ganesh Nishad is the cousin of the accused Shubham Nishad. On questioning the people regarding the incident, it was revealed that he had an old rivalry with Shubham Nishad of the same village and a dispute over money transactions.
The accused Shubham Nishad came to the spot and started a fight with the deceased Ganesh Nishad demanding money due to an old rivalry and kept hitting Ganesh Nishad’s waist and head with a stick made of acacia wood until he fell on the ground, soaked in blood and exhausted. Accused Shubham Nishad fled from the spot after committing the crime. To immediately catch the accused, police station in-charge trainee Deputy Superintendent of Police Pratibha Lahare raided the accused’s residence with a team but by then the accused had fled. Superintendent of Police Trilok Bansal (I.P.S.), Additional Superintendent of Police Neha Pandey, SDPO Khairagarh Lalchand Mohle were informed about the situation and after getting necessary instructions, teams were sent in different directions to trace the accused. As a result, accused Shubham Nishad was arrested from Durg within 24 hours.
On interrogation, the accused admitted to killing the deceased by hitting him with a stick after a quarrel over an old rivalry and money dealings and presented the stick used in the crime before the police. Accused Shubham Nishad father Suresh Nishad age 22 years resident Kukurmuda police station Khairagarh district Khairagarh Chhuikhadan Gandai has been arrested on 27.05.2024, who has been produced before the Hon’ble Court on judicial remand and sent to jail on judicial remand. In the above action, station in-charge trainee Deputy Superintendent of Police Ms. Pratibha Lahare, Inspector Anil Sharma, Shakti Singh Sub Inspector Bilkis Begum, Kailash Sahu, Assistant Sub Inspector Komal Minj, Prakash Soni, Tailesh Singh, Head Constable 737 Suresh Chandravanshi, Constable 1255 Shivlal Verma, 156 Pradeep Yadav, 1225 Vishnu Rajput, 756 Parmeshwar Yogi, 1680 Shailendra Patel, Tribhuvan Yadav, Chandravijay…… played a commendable role. The accused has been successful in making a quick arrest, the accused has been sent on judicial remand, investigation is being done in the case against the accused.
