The brutal husband who burnt his wife alive was arrested
Wadrafnagar : Wadrafnagar police has arrested husband Ramprasad Agaria (33) on charges of burning his wife alive after nine years of love marriage. The accused husband was caught by the police from Moran Chowk when he was waiting to escape while sitting in the bus. An FIR for murder has been lodged against the accused. Ramprasad Agaria, resident of village Madanpur of Wadrafnagar police post, had a love marriage with Neha Sonha (28), resident of Govardhanpur Chandaura, nine years ago. Both have two daughters. It is alleged that after the birth of two daughters, the husband’s behavior towards his wife had changed. The husband often started beating his wife due to doubts about her character. Due to fighting and dispute, the woman came back to her maternal home and started living.
A few days before Diwali, her husband had come to take her. Then the woman went back to her in-laws’ house. Last Monday afternoon, the accused husband had tied the hands and feet of his wife. Had kept a hanger with him. He was constantly threatening his wife by questioning her about her character. Suddenly he stuffed a cloth in his wife’s mouth so that she could not scream. Then he sprinkled petrol and struck the match. In his dying declaration at Wadrafnagar Hospital, he had narrated the entire story in the presence of the Executive Magistrate.
The accused husband had absconded after the death of the woman in the Medical College Hospital. On receiving information about the incident, the police team under the leadership of Wadrafnagar outpost in-charge Dakeshwar Singh was engaged in searching for the accused. The accused was caught by the police after laying siege to Moran Chowk. He was waiting for the bus to escape. An FIR has been lodged against the accused under section 302. Head constable Sanjeev Kumar Singh, constable Bajrang Singh and other policemen were active in catching the accused.
