The Chief Minister approved the draft – Scheduled caste dominated areas will be operated for overall development
The state government is working with commitment for the upliftment of the scheduled caste community of the state. In this sequence, Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot has approved the draft of ‘Scheduled Caste Partnership (Public Participation) Scheme’ for the overall development of Scheduled Caste dominated areas. Under the said scheme, infrastructure development and expansion works can be done in villages and settlements with more than 50 percent Scheduled Caste population. Due to which the overall development of these areas will be ensured.
With the Scheduled Caste Participation (Jan Bhagidari) scheme, along with the development of basic facilities like Anganwadi centers, clean drinking water facilities, roads, electrification, drains, community toilets, culverts, schools, colleges, hostels, medical centers, Dr. Ambedkar community centers will also be constructed and renovated. This will speed up the social, economic and educational development of Scheduled Castes.
It is noteworthy that an announcement in this regard was made by Mr. Gehlot in the budget of the year 2023.
