The Chief Minister inaugurated the Tree Plantation Campaign 2023 by planting Kalpavriksha on the banks of the Ganges.
Bijnor (IANS). UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched ‘Tree Plantation Mahabhiyan-2023’ from Bijnor on Saturday. During this, he planted a sapling of the Kalp tree on the banks of the Ganges.
Earlier, he laid the foundation stone of the land of Government Sanskrit Inter College at Vidur Kuti. He also inaugurated and laid foundation stones of various development projects worth Rs 445 crore. While inaugurating the state-wide tree plantation drive, the Chief Minister distributed saplings to the school children and called upon everyone to plant saplings extensively to save the environment.
He said that the history of Bijnor is thousands of years old. This is the sacred meditation place of Mahatma Vidur, where Ganga’s son Bhishma also spent his childhood. This is the land where Lord Krishna left Duryodhana’s Malpua and ate mustard greens at Mahatma Vidur’s house. Because Mahatma Vidur is a symbol of righteousness and public welfare.
The Chief Minister said that while saluting this holy land of Mahatma Vidur, I heartily congratulate the people of Bijnor and Uttar Pradesh for the Tree Plantation Campaign-2023. Today UP is creating a new record when 30 crore tree plantation campaign is being carried out in the entire state. Today, on the occasion of the Tree Plantation Campaign, I am getting the opportunity to interact with all of you on the banks of Maa Ganga and the holy place of worship of Mahatma Vidur. Maa Ganga is not just a river but it is a river of gods. Not only this, the abode of deities has also been told in the trees here.
The Chief Minister said that Bijnor is the land of India’s history. It was here that Ganga’s son Bhishma spent his childhood. Who is not familiar with the scholarship and generosity of Mahatma Vidur in the history of India. It is a matter of pride for me that I have got the opportunity to take forward the tree plantation campaign of 2023 at this holy place. This grand campaign is going on on a large scale in the entire state today.
