The CM issued appointment letters to 376 surveyors.

Tamil Nadu: Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Wednesday issued appointment orders to 376 surveyors and 100 draftsmen selected through the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission.
A press release issued by the Tamil Nadu government stated: The primary functions of the Land Survey and Records Department, which operates under the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, include surveying land, partitioning land, transferring land titles, maintaining land records, computerizing records, and regularizing the land ownership system.
It functions under the Revenue Administration and records information about land rights, location, size, and type, ensuring transparent management.
To ensure the smooth functioning of the Land Survey and Records Department, 800 land surveyors and 302 draftsmen have been newly appointed over the past four years.
This year, to fill the vacant positions, 376 surveyors and 100 draftsmen were appointed by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission, and the Chief Minister issued their appointment orders at the Secretariat.
Through the online patta (land title) conversion service, 61.77 lakh pattas for intra-division patta conversions and 79.25 lakh pattas for non-intra-division patta conversions have been issued since 2021.
It further stated that intra-division lease conversions are finalized within 30 days and non-intra-division lease conversions within 14 days.
