The Governor and the Chief Minister received President Draupadi on her arrival in Gwalior
Gwalior (IANS). President of India Draupadi Murmu is on a visit to the historic city of Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh on Thursday. The President reached Gwalior in a special Air Force aircraft. He was received at the airport by Governor Mangubhai Patel, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and the administrative staff.
Sharing pictures of the President’s welcome, the Chief Minister tweeted, “Hearty welcome to the President in Gwalior, the divine city of culture and heritage, along with Governor Mangubhai Patel.” Your presence on the holy land of Gwalior is a matter of pride for us.
After reaching Gwalior, the President went to see the Maharaja Sir Jivajirao Scindia Museum at Jai Vilas Palace. Lighted the lamp in front of the statue of President Murmu Maharaja Jivajirao Scindia at Jai Vilas Palace, then visited the Museum’s Lineage Gallery, Maratha Gallery, Industrial Gallery and Durbar Hall etc. including the exhibition.
President Draupadi Murmu will reach the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management (Triple ITM) located on Gole ka Mandir Morena Link Road from Jai Vilas Palace.
After reaching here, President Murmu will present books to 10 children of slum areas under the Student Knowledge Moment of Triple ITM. In this episode, the foundation stone of Triple ITM’s Boys Hostel will also be laid.
President Murmu will attend the fourth convocation of Triple ITM as the chief guest. She will confer the honorary degree of Doctor of Science on Padma Vibhushan Dr. Anil Kakodkar, former chairman of the Atomic Energy Commission.
President Murmu will then leave for Jaipur from Gwalior by plane from the Air Force Station at 5 pm. Gold medals will be awarded to seven students in the fourth convocation of Triple ITM. Along with this, 283 students will be awarded BTech, MTech and Management degrees.
