The High Court directed the TTD EO to file an affidavit regarding the Parakamani theft case.

Vijayawada:The Andhra Pradesh High Court has directed the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) executive officer to file an affidavit furnishing complete details relating to the alleged theft of foreign currency worth USD 900 (`72,000) from the Parakamani.

A Bench comprising Chief Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur and Justice R. Raghunandan Rao heard the matter on Thursday and asked the TTD executive officer to submit details on the procedure followed for arriving at a compromise, the relevant rules governing such a compromise and the authority of the official who approved it.

The court also directed the registry to place before it a plea seeking a CID probe into the theft, which is currently pending before a single judge. The matter has been posted for further hearing on February 5.
