The High Court dismissed the FIR remarking that they cannot harass
Bilaspur bilaspur news. The High Court has made it clear that malicious prosecution should not be allowed to harass individuals. Under this order, an FIR filed against petitioner Munmun Singh has been dismissed.
chhattisgarh news This case is related to a family property dispute between Munmun Singh and his aunt Chandrakant Devi. Munmun Singh was adopted by one of his uncles Lalgovind Singh. Munmun got a job in South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) after Lalgovind was declared medically unfit. After Lalgovind’s death in 2018, a dispute started over ancestral property.
Due to this dispute, another uncle of Munmun, Govind, filed several complaints against him accusing him of fraud in employment and educational records. Later, an FIR was lodged against Govind’s wife and Munmun’s aunt Chandrakant Devi. The trial court issued an order against the petitioner, against which Munmun Singh filed a criminal petition in the High Court.
The High Court, while hearing the petition, found that this is a case of malicious prosecution and such complaints should not be filed with the aim of harassing individuals. With this order, the FIR filed against Munmun Singh has been dismissed.
