The hotel business case will be heard in the High Court on January 4
Shimla. Now DGP Sanjay Kundu has reached the Supreme Court in the case related to businessman Nishant, who hails from Palampur in Kangra district of the state. Himachal High Court had recently asked to remove DGP and SP Kangra from their current posting to ensure fair investigation in the case related to businessman Nishant Sharma. The High Court has fixed the hearing in this case on January 4.
Before this, Himachal Pradesh government has to take a decision to remove DGP and SP Kangra. Meanwhile, DGP Sanjay Kundu has reached the Supreme Court, however, the case Sanjay Kundu IPS vs Registrar General High Court of Himachal Pradesh is yet to be listed in the Supreme Court.
It may be noted that the division bench of Himachal Pradesh High Court Chief Justice MS Ramachandra Rao and Justice Jyotsna Rewal Dua had on Tuesday ordered the removal of DGP Sanjay Kundu and SP Kangra Shalini Agnihotri from the post in the case related to threatening businessman Nishant. Now the DGP has approached the Supreme Court to challenge these orders.
It may be noted that Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, while talking to the media on his return to Shimla from Delhi on Friday, had said that he will discuss the matter after reading the orders of the Himachal High Court and only then take a decision. Now DGP Sanjay Kundu has reached the Supreme Court regarding this matter. Now it remains to be seen whether DGP Sanjay Kundu gets any relief after the case is listed in the Supreme Court.
