The Karur District Administration is not impartial: Annamalai

Tamil Nadu: Former BJP leader K. Annamalai stated that the Karur district administration was not impartial in conducting the elections.
Speaking further to journalists at the Karur district AIADMK office on Monday afternoon, he said: “The Karur district administration is not impartial in conducting the elections. Just as the Principal Secretary and the DGP were transferred in West Bengal, the District Collector and SP of Karur are also biased; therefore, both of them should be transferred as well. (The Karur District SP has since been transferred). We have lodged a complaint with the Election Commission via an app, citing a DMK scheme under which they are preparing to confine people in over 70 locations within the Karur Assembly constituency during the elections.”
“The police are registering a case against a former minister who went to stop illegal sand mining. The opinion expressed by our alliance leader, Edappadi Palaniswami, is final. I have not yet decided whether or not to contest the upcoming elections.”
“The DMK is under stress. Karur MP Jyothimani’s allegation that the Election Commission has become a puppet of the BJP is incorrect. The Election Commission has allotted the same timeframe for conducting the elections as it did on the previous occasion. Rahul Gandhi has not yet visited Tamil Nadu for election campaigning. Why is Karur MP [Jyothimani] hesitating to speak about the misconduct involving Senthil Balaji? In Coimbatore, following an incident of sexual harassment involving female police officers, the SP was removed from his post within just four months.”
“Action must be taken against the senior officials involved in this matter. When a stampede in Karur resulted in the deaths of 41 people, Vijayabaskar was the first to reach the hospital. They claim that the post-mortem report regarding the student involved in the Thoothukudi incident has not yet been received. However, in the case of the Karur incident, they stated that the post-mortem was conducted that very night.”
“At that time, the AIADMK District Council Chairman, S…” Thiruvika, Treasurer Kannadasan, Joint Secretary Mallika Subbarayan, BJP District General Secretary R.V.S. Selvaraj, Shakthivel Murugan, and others were present.
