Protest demanding Palani to be declared a separate district: Annamalai participated

Tamil Nadu: Former BJP state president Annamalai said the DMK government should declare Palani a separate district before the upcoming assembly elections.
On Tuesday, the BJP held a protest near the Palani bus stand, condemning the DMK government for not fulfilling its promise to declare Palani a separate district.
The protest was led by BJP State Executive Committee member Kanagaraj. Former BJP state president Annamalai participated in the protest and said:
Chief Minister M.K. Stalin said Palani would be declared a separate district. However, the announcement has not been made yet. Palani should be declared a district by March 5th. Otherwise, the National Democratic Alliance will form the government after the assembly elections and declare Palani a district.
Only ₹82 crore has been spent so far on temple repairs and construction during the DMK regime.
He said the DMK government, which promised to build a Siddha Medical College in Palani, has not laid a single brick.
