The murderer who killed the constable was arrested from Rajasthan
Seoni. Dundasivani police of the district reached Rajasthan in search of Ramganesh Gurjar, the main accused in the murder of acting head constable four months ago. Here the accused of murder, Ramganesh, was not found but his accomplice Ramsahay Gurjar was caught by the police. The arrested accused has cases of theft and robbery in Seoni district, kidnapping, murder, rape and other serious crimes registered in Gwalior and Rajasthan. Police is interrogating the arrested accused. At the same time, efforts are on to catch the main accused in the murder of the constable. A 315 bore country-made pistol and two live cartridges have been seized from the accused’s possession after being found illegally on his memorandum.
This information was given by Superintendent of Police Rakesh Kumar Singh in a press conference held in the Police Control Room on Wednesday afternoon. The Superintendent of Police said that special efforts are being made to search for the absconding interstate criminal Ramganesh Gurjar and his other accomplices in the murder of Head Constable Rakesh Singh Thakur under the Kotwali police station area. For this, the police station in-charge Dundasivani Inspector Kishore Wamankar was entrusted with the leadership of the raid team and the team members were sent to Rajasthan to raid and arrest the absconding accused Ramganesh Gurjar by contacting the local police in Bharatpur district of Rajasthan. On receiving information that the accused and his accomplice Kariya were hiding near Kanawar Adda of Rudawal police station in Bharatpur district of Rajasthan state, Inspector Kishore Wamankar along with his team made continuous efforts for 7-8 days by establishing joint coordination with the Special Operation Group of Rajasthan Police. Search was conducted at the suspected hideouts around Bharatpur, Kanawar Adda, Rutawal, Roopwas and Setpur.
The SP said that with the technical assistance of the cyber cell, the Seoni police team reached the forest area of Kanawar Adda in Bharatpur district of Rajasthan. Here, on seeing the police team, an attempt was made to surround and capture another accomplice of the accused Ramganesh Gurjar, Ramsahay alias Kariya Gurjar. To save himself, the accused slipped and fell while jumping from the cliff. His other companion Girdhari Gurjar fled from the spot. Ramsahay, who was found at the spot, gave a wrong identity during interrogation. He was brought to the police station Dundasivani for finger print verification and detailed interrogation. During interrogation here, he told his name as Ramsahay and father’s name as Raghunath Gurjar, resident of Kudina village, district Dholpur, Rajasthan. The arrested accused was not found to be involved in the murder of Head Constable Rakesh Thakur along with Ramganesh Gurjar, but he admitted to being absconding earlier in the crime committed under the police station Dundasivani and police station Keolari of the district.
The SP said that the accused Ramsahay alias Kariya Gurjar is an active criminal of the interstate criminal organized gang of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. He is actively involved with his interstate organized gang members in serious crimes like kidnapping, robbery, murder, rape, ransom, burglary, juvenile crime, POCSO, breach of trust, illegal possession, dacoity in Dholpur of Rajasthan, Sheopur, Seoni district of Madhya Pradesh. Madhya Pradesh Police has declared a reward of about 60 thousand rupees from different districts. Dholpur Police of Rajasthan has jointly declared a bounty of 25 thousand rupees on the accused in two cases of robbery. Intensive interrogation of Ramsahay Gurjar, who was arrested in connection with the absconding accused Ramganesh Gurjar after killing Head Constable Rakesh Thakur posted in Dundasivani Police Station, is being done during custody. SP said that very soon the absconding rewardee criminal Ramganesh Gurjar involved in the murder of martyred Head Constable Rakesh Thakur will be caught and arrested and sent behind bars. Inspector Kishore Vamankar of Dundasivani Police Station, Head Constable Mukesh Godane, Head Constable Naveen Tiwari, Constable Dhanraj, Constable Ajay Baghel of Cyber Cell Seoni, Inspector Mukesh Singh of Special Operation Group of District Bharatpur, Rajasthan Police and his team played a special role in catching this accused.
