The person who threatened people with a country made pistol arrested

Rajnandgaon: The person who threatened people by showing them a country-made pistol has been arrested. According to the information, the patrolling team received information from the informer that a person named Nikhil Sonwani, resident of 16 Kholi Station Para, was threatening people with a pistol in his hand on Khairagarh Road, Rajnandgaon, in front of the State School. On receiving the information, a joint team of Cyber Cell Rajnandgaon and Police Station Kotwali staff was immediately formed and after reaching the spot they laid siege and arrested them. When asked for name and address, they gave their name and address as Nikhil Sonwani, father Late. Ramesh Sonwani age 22 years Sakin Ward No. 12 Station Para 16 opened OP Chikhali Police Station Kotwali District Rajnandgaon (Chhattisgarh), from whose possession one country made pistol and 5 pieces of 7.65 mm pistol were recovered. One live cartridge was found, the pistol was seized by the police on the spot as the accused was found to be illegally possessing it for the purpose of committing a major crime.

After finding evidence of the accused’s actions under the Arms Act, crime number 757/23 Section 25, 27 Arms Act was registered against the accused in Kotwali Rajnandgaon police station and the accused was arrested and presented before the Honorable Court on judicial remand. In the above proceedings, cyber cell in-charge Bharat Bareth, police station in-charge Kotwali inspector Aman Sahu, assistant sub-inspector Santosh Singh P.R. Sandeep Chauhan, G. Cyril, Anit Shukla, Basant Rao and constables Prashant Jain, Amit Soni and police station staff played a commendable role.
