black pepper

Drinking a cup of its decoction will give you instant relief. However, colds are usually mild with symptoms lasting a week or less. Using wheat bran will give you relief from the problem.
fennel seeds
Fennel seeds will help you in cold and cough. Fennel is a common kitchen ingredient. For this, boil one teaspoon of fennel in water and reduce it to half. After this consume it. This will give relief in sore throat and cough.
turmeric milk
Turmeric is an essential ingredient found in almost all Indian kitchens. Turmeric contains a strong antioxidant that helps in treating many health problems. Drinking hot milk mixed with turmeric is a popular and effective way to fight cold and cough. Drinking a glass of warm turmeric milk before sleeping helps in quick recovery from cold and cough.
Garlic
Garlic contains a chemical called allicin, which is anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-fungal. It cures cold and flu infection. For this, fry 4-5 garlic buds in ghee and eat them.
