The Pune International Literary Festival 2025 will celebrate the magic of words, knowledge, and storytelling.

Maharashtra: The 13th edition of the Pune International Literary Festival (PILF) was held on December 6th and 7th at the Dr. Shirname Auditorium, Agriculture College, attracting a large number of enthusiastic participants, including school groups, book clubs, young writers, teachers, and literature lovers from across the city. The festival featured over 70 speakers and more than 30 sessions over the two days. Renowned author Shobhaa De inaugurated this year’s festival. In her keynote address, she spoke passionately about the role of literature in shaping society and the need for writers to unite and protect their rights in the increasingly commercialized publishing sector. She emphasized the importance of literary festivals in fostering creativity, democratic expression, and cultural dialogue, thus setting the stage for a thoughtful and culturally vibrant festival.
