The Stalin Healthcare Scheme has benefited 16.74 lakh people: Minister M. Subramanian

Tamil Nadu: Health Minister M. Subramanian said that 16.74 lakh people have benefited so far under the Stalin healthcare scheme.
Minister M. Subramanian and Minister for Minority Welfare and Non-Resident Tamil Welfare S.M. Nasar inaugurated 642 sub-health centers across Tamil Nadu at a function held in the Ayappakkam Housing Board area of Avadi on Sunday.
They also provided medical equipment and fetal heart rate monitors to village health nurses under Corporate Social Responsibility.
Later, Minister M. Subramanian told reporters: Chief Minister M.K. Stalin will inaugurate newly constructed district headquarters hospitals at 7 locations – Jayamkondam, Mayiladuthurai, Rajapalayam, Aruppukottai, Kulithalai, Kangeyam, and Tindivanam – costing Rs. 229.24 crore on the 6th.
He is also inaugurating 42 new medical facilities, including microbiology laboratories in Chennai and Madurai districts, at a cost of Rs. 359.46 crore.
So far, 1,178 camps have been conducted under the healthcare Stalin scheme. This has benefited 16,74,161 people.
We have held 40 rounds of talks with government doctors in the last four and a half years and have given many concessions. The government will also call the doctors who are currently on strike for talks and take steps to fulfill their legitimate demands.
The Chief Minister inaugurated a materials museum to showcase Tamil Nadu’s glory to the world. The Chief Minister has presented to the world the fact that iron was used in Tamil Nadu 5,200 years ago, rice was used 3,200 years ago, and an urban civilization existed 4,000 years ago. The support of the central government is sufficient for all this.
It is a pleasure to announce that hostels for girls will be established in the Union Budget. While the national failure rate in higher education is 28.4 percent, in Tamil Nadu, this rate has surged to 47 percent. This is primarily attributed to the government’s provision of a monthly incentive of ₹1,000 to students studying in government schools through the innovative Women and Tamil Sons schemes. Similarly, Minister M. Subramanian stated that 42 lakh students have received skill development training through the Naan Mudhalvan project.
