The storm showed its fierce form, trees and big hoardings fell
Surguja / Batauli. The strong wind, storm, storm that has been going on continuously for 3 days suddenly took a fierce form after this afternoon. And very strong winds started blowing. Large hoardings were torn due to this. A tree fell at the bus stand behind a fruit shop in Bagicha Chowk Batauli. Electric wave wires and BSNL phone cables have been snapped along with the trees. The power system was interrupted for 2 hours due to this incident. Internet facility has been stopped due to breakage of BSNL cable.
The uprooting of the tree caused disruption in traffic for an hour. Later, the 112 team of the police came and removed the tree by cutting it, then the road could be cleared. From 1:30 pm, it rained continuously for an hour with a continuous thunderstorm. Meanwhile, a tree behind a fruit shop in Batauli bus stand collapsed and fell. A wall of 10 feet height fell along with the tree. Vikas Gupta, the operator of the fruit shop, was not in the shop when the wall collapsed, due to which there was no loss of life. Large pieces of wall had fallen in the shop, if any person had been there, he could have been seriously injured by being buried under the debris. Due to the incessant rains, all the people had taken shelter in the nearby pucca shops, due to which the untoward incident could not happen. The wedding season is going on in the villages, due to which there is a huge crowd in Bagicha Chowk, the heart of Batauli.
