Janjgir news. Police has arrested two accused in the murder case that took place in Champa last month. They committed theft under the influence of alcohol and killed the landlord for fear of being identified.
chhattisgarh news On June 26, in the afternoon, the body of Chhote Lal Pandey was found lying on the bed at his house in Shankar Nagar, Champa. The post-mortem report revealed that he was strangled to death. During investigation, the police came to know from CCTV footage that two people had arrived on a scooter in front of his house some time before the incident. They were identified as Deepak Yadav (30 years) and Shahid Beg (26 years). Both were taken into custody and questioned. The accused confessed to the crime. chhattisgarh
He told that he drank alcohol before the incident. At home, it was found that Chhote Lal’s wife was in her shop near the house, while the son and daughter-in-law had gone to the temple. Those people talked to Chhote Lal for some time. After this, they strangled him to death with an electric wire. After this, they opened the cupboard and ran away with gold and silver jewellery worth about 1.5 lakhs and 6700 rupees in cash. Fearing getting caught, they threw the jewellery in the pond and divided the money. Both the accused were produced in the court, from where they have been sent to jail.
