Theft in Bhilai, lock of empty house broken
Bhilai. A major theft incident has taken place in HUDCO area on Saturday morning. Here two thieves entered an empty house. They locked the door of the tenants living upstairs from outside. After this, they entered the house downstairs and stole lakhs of rupees and fled. Police is investigating the matter.
This incident has happened in Ward 70 of Bhilai Nagar. Councilor Siju Anthony told that the faces of the thieves have been recorded in the CCTV footage. According to him, the thieves entered the house between 2 and 3 in the night. When they came out of the house at 4 in the morning, a woman who got up to pluck flowers saw them. When the woman screamed, both the accused ran away from there. The thieves broke the central lock of the main door of the house and entered inside. After that they broke the locks of all the rooms one by one. They broke the cupboard kept inside. After this, they stole lakhs of rupees in cash and valuables kept there. What all has been stolen from inside the house and its value will be known when the house owner returns from Hyderabad. As soon as the information about the incident was received, Bhilai Nagar police reached the spot. Police has registered a case for investigation. Police is scanning the CCTV footage to nab the accused.
