Theft in clinic safe proved costly, accused arrested

Haridwar: It proved costly for a thief to break into a doctor’s clinic and get away with the safe. The accused was arrested on the spot and handed over to the police. A case has been registered against the accused and he has been sent to jail.

According to the police, there is a clinic of Dr. SS Chauhan in Mohalla Chauhanan located in Jwalapur Kotwali area. At night, the doctor was talking to someone outside his clinic, when a vicious thief entered the clinic and started breaking the safe kept inside, but he was caught on the spot and handed over to the police.

The accused caught during police interrogation revealed his name as Shakir, son of Shakeel Ahmed, resident of village Ikkad Khurd, Pathri police station. The accused has already gone to jail several times in robbery cases. Four cases are registered against him in Jwalapur police station and one in Kankhal police station. The accused has been sent to jail after being produced in the court.
