Theft in retail shop, husband and wife arrested

Bilaspur. The couple has been arrested after CCTV video surfaced of husband and wife stealing from a retail shop in Bilaspur. The woman used to go to a retail shop with her husband on the pretext of shopping and, taking the opportunity, would steal expensive items including cosmetics and run away.

A large quantity of stolen goods has also been recovered from both of them.
The shop manager had complained of theft on September 18. According to manager Ashish Ranjan, less goods were being found during reconciliation.

After checking the CCTV footage, a woman and a man were seen stealing goods from the shop. Similarly, both of them had committed theft in another branch of their shop.

During police interrogation, both the husband and wife started giving vague answers. When the police informed them that they had been caught stealing in CCTV video, both of them broke down. After searching the house, the police recovered cosmetic items like shampoo, face cream, body lotion.
