Theft of lakhs from an abandoned house, vicious thief arrested
Raipur: Three more thieves who broke the lock of an abandoned house in Shailendra Nagar and stole lakhs of rupees including gold and silver jewellery, have been arrested. These people along with three accomplices had committed the crime by first recceing the deserted house. Last week, Suraj Sona, Poonam Sona and Pooja Kumhar were arrested and stolen cash, 522 grams of gold jewelery and 03 kg 341 grams of silver jewelery totaling Rs 35,78,332 were seized from them.
His three absconding associates are Sanjay Chauhan alias Sanjay Kumhar, father Santosh Chauhan, age 29 years, resident of B.S.U.P. Colony Valmiki Nagar Kabir Nagar, Vrindavan Sona alias Pintu father Devanand Sona age 36 years resident of house number 1414 Railway Colony Titlagarh Odisha, Uday Bariha father Shubhaneshwar Bariha age 50 years resident Saraspada police station Bangomunda Balangir Odisha have been arrested. Stolen cash of Rs 1,96,000/- has also been seized from them. Among them is Sanjay Chauhan, who has been jailed in dozens of theft cases in the past also. Police claim that other accused in the case are absconding, whose whereabouts are being traced. Kotwali police registered crime number 452/23 section 457, 380, 34, 411 IPC. A crime has been registered. These people had burgled the house of real estate businessman Narendra Kumar Jain in Shailendra Nagar on November 14.
