Pakistan’s javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem ahead of the final clash against India’s Neeraj Chopra in the World Athletics Championships 2023 final. Ahead of the summit clash, Nadeem has dismissed all speculations of any rivalry with Chopra. Nadeem also believes that he has had a great learning experience from Neeraj Chopra. Speaking ahead of the World Athletics Championships final, Arshad Nadeem said:
I don’t compete against any one. I try to always compete with myself and to do better and better. There is no rivalry with Neeraj. You can always learn from top athletes.
Arshad Nadeem’s path to improvement
Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem finished fifth in the Tokyo Olympics 2020 final. But the javelin thrower has constantly improved after the event. Nadeem achieved a throw of 90.18m in the Commonwealth Games 2022 in Birmingham and grabbed the gold medal. This was Pakistan’s first medal in the Track and Field category after 56 years.
