There is no rule of law in Punjab, only the rule of crime: Ashwani Sharma
Punjab: Punjab BJP working president Ashwani Sharma said on Saturday that the brutal murder in Jalandhar has exposed the failure of the Bhagwant Mann government. He said that in Punjab, it is now the rule of crime, not the rule of law. He alleged that the police administration is working under political pressure, which has emboldened criminals in the state.
Taking a dig at Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal, he said that both are busy with politics of advertisements and rhetoric, while the people are living in fear. He said, “Today, the slogan of ‘change’ has turned into a feeling of fear and insecurity for the people of Punjab.” He expressed deep condolences to the victim’s family and demanded the strictest possible action against the culprits.
