MP: Jabalpur Municipal Corporation launches mega cleanliness campaign.

Madhya Pradesh: The Jabalpur Municipal Corporation (JMC) has launched a major cleanliness drive on a six-kilometer stretch of the main road from Tripuri Chowk to Tilwara Ghat. The ghats along the Narmada River have also received a facelift. Municipal Commissioner Ram Prakash Ahirwar said that large-scale infrastructure and development works, along with extensive cleanliness drives, are being carried out across the city.
Ahirwar said that a major cleanliness drive was successfully conducted under Division Number 1, giving a new, clean look to the approximately 6-kilometer main road from Tripuri Chowk to Tilwara Ghat, making the road sparkle. The roads were thoroughly cleaned, and temporary encroachments were removed from the roadside, widening the road and easing traffic flow. Special attention was given to the intersections near hospitals during the drive, where 40 shopkeepers were fined for littering, encroaching on public space, not providing dustbins, and using banned polythene bags.
The corporation wants its employees to ensure a culture of cleanliness by carrying out daily fieldwork, collecting and properly managing waste, and promptly addressing public grievances.
