Thief swallows gold earring after theft gets caught in Odisha’s Jagatsinghpur

Jagatsinghpur: A theft attempt went wrong on Saturday when a thief swallowed the gold earring after his theft got caught in Jagatsinghpur district of Odisha. The incident took place in the Bada Bazar area of the town.

As per reports, the thief visited a reputed jewellery shop in the Bada Bazar area of Jagatsinghpur town posing as a customer who went to buy bracelet. He waited for a chance, and as he got an opportunity took out a costly gold ear wearing.

However, it was not a day for him. The people who were present there caught him and informed Police.

After getting information Police rushed to the spot. The locals handed over the thief to Police. The jewelry owner has filed a complaint in this regard, and Police probe is underway on its basis.

Further investigation of the case is underway.
