Thieves broke the lock of Bolwell’s shop and stole lakhs of cash
Durg. In the district late last night, some thieves broke open the lock of Bolwell’s shop and stole cash worth lakhs from there. As soon as the shop owner came to know about this, he registered a case in Kotwali police station. The police has started searching for the accused.
According to information received from Durg City Kotwali police station, the case pertains to Shiv Borewells shop located in Ganjpara area. Here late last night, unknown thieves broke the lock of the shop and stole lakhs. Shop operator Shankar Singhal told that his shop is located right next to State Bank. As usual on Saturday late evening he closed the shop and went home. In the morning he got a call on his mobile that the lock of his shop was broken. Shankar immediately reached the shop and saw that the goods kept inside were scattered. 1 lakh 70 thousand rupees kept in the drawer were stolen.
Durg Kotwali police is scanning CCTV footage installed in nearby shops including State Bank to nab the accused. Police say that they have alerted the informer and also deployed a team. Soon the accused will be arrested.
