Business Business: The new Hyundai Alcazar variant has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs 14.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The Hyundai Alcazar is often ranked above the Hyundai Creta. However, it has not been as successful as the Creta. However, it is still a popular choice for those looking for an SUV-like luxury minivan. Let’s know the full details.
The 2024 Hyundai Alcazar is quite different from its older model in many ways. In particular, the exterior design has been significantly redesigned, including H-shaped LED daytime running lights, quad-beam LED headlights, a transparent grille and thick skid plates. The design language of the Alcazar is heavily influenced by the design of the new Creta, which was launched in India earlier this year.
The Alcazar runs on 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. It will also get connected LED tail lamps, a new tailgate design and a new spoiler. The new Alcazar is slightly larger in size than its older model. Its length is now 4560 mm. It has increased by about 60 mm compared to the previous version. That’s more. The width and height of the SUV have also been increased by 1800 mm. and 1700 mm. respectively. However, the wheelbase remained the same at 2760 mm.
The 2024 Hyundai Alcazar is available in four variants: Executive, Prestige, Platinum and Signature. The Korean auto giant continues to offer the SUV in two seating configurations: a 6-seater and a 7-seater option. Prices start at Rs 14.99 lakh (ex-showroom, launch) for the petrol version and go up to Rs 15.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the diesel version.
Hyundai will offer the Alcazar in eight single-tone and one dual-tone exterior colours. New Robust Emerald Matte and Titan Gray Matte colour options are available here. There are also rugged variants available in Emerald, Starry Night, Ranger Khakhi, Fiery Red, Abyss Black, Atlas White and Atlas White with black roof. The new Hyundai Alcazar is available with two engines. It is powered by a 1.5-litre Turbo GDi petrol engine that produces 158 hp and 253 Nm of torque. This engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed DCT transmission. There is also a 1.5-litre U2 CRDi diesel engine that produces 114 PS and 250 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic.
