Those accused of harassing women will not get government jobs, a big decision of the government
Raipur: Those accused of molestation and rape will no longer get government jobs. After the Chief Minister’s announcement on August 15, the General Administration Department has now issued instructions. In the instructions issued to all departments, HOD, Commissioner, Collector, GAD has asked them to ensure strict compliance with the instructions.
According to the instructions of GAD, such accused, against whom cases have been registered under sections 354, 376, 376 A, 376 B, 378 C, 376 D, 509, 493, 496 and 498 of POCSO, are not eligible for appointment to government services and posts. Has been banned till the final decision of the case.
In fact, there is already a provision in sub-rule 4 of rule 6 of Chhattisgarh Civil Services Rules, 1961 that “No candidate who has been convicted of any crime against women will be eligible for appointment to any service or post.” But in so far as such cases are pending in the court against any candidate, his appointment case will be kept pending till the final decision of the criminal case.
