Three convicted in murder case, acquitted of dowry charges

Saharanpur: In a dowry death case in Saharanpur, the court has given a big verdict and sentenced three accused to life imprisonment. The court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Room No. 10 has punished the three accused found guilty in the case with life imprisonment and a total fine of Rs 90 thousand. A fine of Rs 30,000 each has been imposed on each convict.

This decision has come due to effective prosecution and strong advocacy conducted under the direction of Senior Superintendent of Police, Saharanpur. According to the police, the case was continuously monitored by the monitoring cell under Operation Conviction and strong advocacy was done in the court, after which the court convicted the accused and sentenced them.

Dowry death case was registered in 2020
The matter is of the year 2020. According to the police, on February 8, 2020, Dharampal son Atmaram, resident of Rashidgarh in Thana Bhawan area of ​​Shamli district, had given a written complaint in Nakur police station, accusing him of dowry murder of his daughter.

It was alleged in the complaint that his daughter Suman was continuously harassed by her in-laws demanding dowry. The allegation was that when his demand was not met, he was strangled to death.

In this case, the police had registered a case against Saurabh son of Narendra, Sudesh wife of Narendra and Narendra son of Fake, resident of village Padmanagali, police station Nakur, district Saharanpur. Action was taken against the accused under section 498A, 304B, 302 of the Indian Penal Code and section 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act under case number 57/2020 at Nakur police station.

Long hearing in court
The case was pending in the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Room No. 10, Saharanpur. All the evidence and witnesses in the case were presented strongly by the police. The monitoring cell formed on the instructions of the Senior Superintendent of Police ensured effective prosecution of the case.

During the hearing, the court, on the basis of available evidence and facts, found all three accused guilty under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code. After this, the court sentenced all three to life imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 30,000 each.

acquitted in some sections
According to the police, the court has acquitted the accused under sections 498A, 304B and section 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. However, after being found guilty of the crime of murder, all three were sentenced to life imprisonment.

Police called the decision important
Describing the court’s decision as important, Saharanpur Police said that effective lobbying is being done continuously by the police to punish the criminals. Officials said such cases are being constantly reviewed under the Operation Conviction campaign to ensure strict action against those guilty of serious crimes.

After this decision, the victim’s family is expected to get justice. At the same time, the police has clarified that strict action will continue against the culprits in cases related to crimes against women and dowry.
