Three major thefts in one night, case registered
Kurud. Last night, unknown thieves made away with goods worth lakhs including gold and silver jewellery, mobile phones and cash from three different houses. When the family members woke up, they came to know of the theft. The police reached the spot, collected statements of the family members and evidence from the incident site and are looking for clues to reach the absconding thieves. Thieves secretly entered the house of Dular Sahu in village Bagdehi under Kurud police station after midnight on Saturday.
Gold and silver jewelery and a key-pad mobile were taken away from the cupboard. The family members have stated the value of the stolen goods to be around Rs 1.50 lakh. After this, the thieves stole Rs 10,000 in cash kept in the box of Baisakhu Ram Sahu. The thief also stole jewelery and a screen touch mobile and cash worth Rs 16 thousand from the house of Kalyan Sahu, who lives in another locality of the village. Apart from this, thieves had also entered a textile shop.
But he did not find anything useful for his work there. As soon as the news of theft at three places in one night was received, Kurud police reached the spot on Sunday morning. The investigating officers are busy in locating the thieves by looking at the statements of the family members and finding clues from the incident site. In this case, SDOP KK Bajpai said that three accused have filed a report in the police station, in which it has been said that theft of about two lakhs was done. After the incident, we have alerted the cyber cell and other staff, soon the thieves will be in the clutches of the law.
