Three people including two innocent people died due to drowning in Banka
Bihar. Three people, including two innocent people and an elderly person, died due to drowning in water at different places in Banka district. The incident took place in Domuhan of Banka and Chalna and Bhelay Panchayat of Dhoraiya. After the death of all three, there was chaos among the family members of the deceased. It is said that the body of Sadhu Harijan (83), resident of Domuhan of Banka police station, was recovered in the afternoon at Badmauwa Ghat of Chandan River. According to family members, Sadhu was going to his daughter’s house in Barisal village after crossing the river Harijan.
During this time, he drowned after falling into a deep pit in the river. After which his body was recovered in the afternoon. On the other hand, two children died due to drowning in the dam at two different places in Dhoraiya police station area. The incident took place in Basantpur of Chalna Panchayat and Telondha village of Bhelay Panchayat. According to the information, Sadab (12), son of Mohd. Sadir, resident of Basantpur village under Chalna Panchayat, was taking bath in Pipra Dam on the afternoon. While bathing in the dam, Sadab drowned after falling into a deep ditch, due to which he died.
Five including two sisters lost their lives due to drowning in Madhepura Five people including two sisters died due to drowning at different places in Alamnagar and Puraini area. Pallavi (3), daughter of Rabin Mandal of Bajraha Ward 10 of Alamnagar, and one and a half year old Kriti lost their lives due to drowning in the drainage some distance away from their house. Her mother was cutting grass nearby and both the girls lost their lives while playing. In another incident in Alamnagar area, Shiv Sah (70), resident of Teliari Ward 7, died due to drowning in a water-filled pit. On the other hand, Lalita Devi (45), wife of Ramchandra Mandal, resident of Bhramarpur Tola Ward 7 of Ithari Panchayat, drowned in the stream after her feet slipped. The dead body of Ratnesh Mandal’s daughter Rimjhim (15) was found in a pit in Kheroh village of Puraini police station area.
