Ranchi: Three people have been killed in a dispute between the families of two brothers on the day of Raksha Bandhan in Ormanjhi, Ranchi. The dead include a brother and his two wives. Some people have also been injured in the clash between the two sides. The incident is of Gunja Devanjara Tola of Ormanjhi police station area. It was told that Jhameshwar and his brothers run separate hotels. A few days ago, Jhameshwar’s pet cattle had gone to his brother’s hotel. Many times the cattle also grazed the crops of other’s fields. There was a dispute going on between the families of the two brothers regarding this.
The two families clashed with each other on Thursday afternoon. They started attacking each other with sticks and sharp weapons. Meanwhile, Jhameshwar Bedia (42), Sarita Devi (39) and Sanju Devi (25) were killed with sharp weapons like spade and chapada. Some people have also been injured in this struggle. After getting information about the incident, the police reached the spot, but the people from the other side had fled. Police took all the three bodies into custody and sent them for postmortem.
The people of the village and surrounding areas are shocked by the triple murder on the day of the festival. In-charge of Ranchi Rural SP Harish Bin Jama said that three people were killed in a dispute between two families. Raids are being conducted to arrest the accused.
