Three real brothers turned out to be thieves, Raipur police caught them
Raipur: 3 accused who committed thefts by breaking the locks of a dozen vacant houses have been arrested. M Shiva filed a report in Khamtarai police station that he lives in Shivanand Nagar Sector – 03 Khamtarai Raipur. The applicant had gone to his home town Andhra after locking his house on 27.07.24. Meanwhile, in the night of 30.07.24 at about 01.00, an unknown thief broke the lock of the applicant’s vacant house and entered inside and stole the gold and silver jewellery and cash kept in the cupboard. After the theft in the applicant’s house by the unknown thieves, theft was also committed in the house of his neighbor Ram Gopal Agarwal. On the report of the applicant, crime number 628/24 section 331 (2), 305 IPC was registered against the unknown accused in Khamtarai police station. A crime of the Code was registered.
On which, under the guidance of senior officers, a joint team of Anti Crime and Cyber Unit and Khamtarai Police Station inspected the crime scenes thoroughly and started searching for the unknown accused by questioning the applicant, his family members and the people around in detail about the incident. The team members observed the footage of CCTV cameras installed at the crime scene and around it and deployed informers in the case. On the basis of the modus operandi, information was also being collected about the criminals recently released from jail in theft cases and those arrested in theft cases earlier. Efforts were being made to identify the unknown accused by analyzing the technical evidence and collecting information about the two-wheeler used by the unknown accused during the incident. During this time, the team members received information from an informer that Kishan Jangde, a resident of Gudhiyari, who had earlier been imprisoned in a theft case, was seen in a suspicious condition at night near the crime scene with some other boys on the date of the incident. On which the team members traced Kishan Jangde and caught him. On the basis of the evidence obtained, on strict interrogation of Kishan Jangde, he told that he had committed the theft along with his other 04 companions Gaurav Bande, Abhijeet alias Bablu Jangde, Ashish Bande and Akash alias Lalla Bande.
On which, the team members traced the accused involved in the case and caught Gaurav Bande and Abhijeet alias Bablu. On questioning the three in connection with other incidents of theft, the accused revealed that they had committed thefts by breaking the locks of 8 different vacant houses situated in Khamtarai and D.D. Nagar police station areas and had also stolen an Activa vehicle from Sarkanda in Bilaspur. The accused Kishan Jangde, Gaurav Bande, Abhijeet alias Bablu Jangde, Ashish Bande and Akash Bande alias Lalla used to commit thefts by roaming around in their two-wheelers along with the stolen Activa vehicle.
The accused Ashish Bande, Akash Bande alias Lalla and Gaurav Bande are real brothers. Accused Akash Bande alias Lalla has been booked in Saja police station of Bemetara district under crime number 85/24 under section 376 IPC and 4, 6 POCSO Act. Accused Kishan Jangde has also been imprisoned in a theft case in the past.
In this case, the accused Kishan Jangde, Gaurav Bande and Abhijeet alias Bablu Jangde were arrested and on their information, stolen gold and silver jewellery, cash, 02 mobile phones, household articles, Activa vehicle number CG/12/BD/8409 and Pulsar vehicle number CG/07/CF/9385 used in the incident and jewellery worth about Rs. 15,00,000/- (fifteen lakh rupees) were seized and action was taken against the accused.
The accused Ashish Bande and Akash Bande alias Lalla involved in the case are absconding and every possible effort is being made to trace and arrest them. Against the accused, cases have been registered in Police Station Khamtarai, Raipur under Crime No. 183/24 Section 457, 380 IPC, Crime No. 208/24 Section 457, 380 IPC, No. 500/24 Section 457, 380 IPC, Crime No. 584/24 Section 457, 380 IPC, Crime No. 628/24 Section 331(2), 305 BNS, Crime No. 660/24 Section 331(4), 305 BNS, Crime No. 661/24 Section 331(4), 305 BNS. In Police Station DD Nagar under Crime No. 292/24 Section 331(4), 305 BNS. And in the case of Activa vehicle theft, crime number 575/24 under sections 454, 380 IPC has been registered at Police Station Sarkanda, District Bilaspur. Other complaints of theft have also been received against the accused at Police Station Khamtarai, in which separate FIRs are being registered against the accused.
