Three youths were standing near Motibagh Chowk to sell ganja, arrested
Raipur: Senior Superintendent of Police Prashant Aggarwal has given necessary guidelines to the police station in-charge along with the in-charge anti-crime and cyber units to detect and take action against black drug dealers and effectively curb it. On which all the police gazetted officers, station in-charges and the team of anti-crime and cyber units are collecting information regarding drug dealers by employing informers, patrolling and collecting information.
In the same sequence, during checking of buses coming from other states, information was received that one person in front of Motibagh Chowk Union Club under Golbazar area and two persons near Dabri School were keeping ganja with them and were looking for customers to sell it. . On which Additional Superintendent of Police City Lakhan Lal Patle and City Superintendent of Police Kotwali Yogesh Sahu, after verifying the information, Police Station Incharge Golbazar Inspector Yogesh Kumar Kashyap was directed to catch the accused red handed with ganja. On which, under the direction of senior officers and the leadership of police station incharge Golbazar, two separate teams of Golbazar police station were sent to the said places. The police team went near the Union Club, identified the person of the description described by the informer, identified him and arrested him. During interrogation, the person revealed his name to be Ram Kishore Mihir, resident of Balangir, Orissa. When the team members searched the bag kept with him, it was found that ganja was kept in the bag. On which the accused Ram Kishore Mihir was arrested and a total of 02 kilograms of ganja worth about Rs 10,000/- was seized from his possession and action was taken against the accused by registering crime number 260/23 Section 20B Narcotics Act in Police Station Golbazar.
Similarly, another team of Golbazar police station went near Dabri School, identified and identified persons of similar appearance as described by the informer and arrested them. During interrogation, his name was revealed to be 1. Manpreet Singh alias Mannu, father Jagga Singh, address district Maung Punjab and 2. Manpreet Singh father Mukhtyar Singh resident district Firozanpur Punjab. When the team members searched two blue colored bags kept with both of them, it was found that ganja was kept in the bag. On which both the accused were arrested and 6 kg 350 grams worth Rs 30,000/- were recovered from the possession of accused Manpreet Singh alias Mannu. And 5 kg 600 grams worth Rs 25,500/- from the possession of Manpreet Singh, father Mukhtyar Singh. A total of 11 kg 950 grams of ganja worth approximately Rs 55,000/- was seized and action was taken against the accused by registering crime number 261/23 under Section 20B Narcotics Act in Police Station Golbazar.
