Tigers spotted on hill at Odisha-Chhattisgarh border, villagers scared
Umerkote: The residents of nearby villages of Dumali hills at Odisha-Chhattisgarh border are frightened after three tigers were sighted resting atop the hill yesterday. The spot is near to Odisha’s Nabarangpur district, which is located five kms away from Kanker district headquarter of Chhattisgarh in the border area.
As per reports, many people witnessed that as many as three tigers were taking rest atop the Dumali hills while a bear was roaming in the forest. The video has gone viral after being shared on social media.
Since the spot is merely 5 km away from Kanker in the Odisha-Chhattisgarh border area, people of all nearby villages are scared.
It is to be noted that a few days ago tiger had dragged away a child when he was playing in front of their house. The local residents are reportedly witnessing such a big number of tigers at a time and hence they are scared.
The Forest department has been informed about the tiger scare. It has been learnt that the Forest Department officials are on alert.
