Tortured student in Para Medical College tried to commit suicide, angry students took to the streets

Ranchi: Troubled by the alleged harassment of a private Para Medical and Nursing College located in Irba, Ranchi, a student tried to commit suicide by hanging himself from the fan. His condition remains stable.

As soon as the news spread, hundreds of college students took to the streets on Thursday. Angry students started marching towards CM House in Ranchi demanding justice, but were stopped on the way by the police-administration. The students raised slogans for hours regarding this.

In fact, Shubham Mahato, a 22-year-old student of Abdul Razzaq Shain Para Medical and Nursing College in Irba, Ranchi, hanged himself from the fan in a room of the college campus on Wednesday night. The good thing is that as soon as information about this was received, the people of the college management immediately freed him from the noose and took him to the hospital. As soon as the news spread on Thursday morning, the students first demonstrated vigorously at the hospital gate and then marched about 15 kilometers to the CM House.

The students allege that their friend tried to commit suicide due to the arbitrary and dictatorial attitude of the college management. The college management harasses all the students. Financial penalties are imposed on every issue, which they are unable to pay.

Near Bodeya Mor in Ranchi, police stopped students moving towards CM House. The students remained adamant on going to CM residence under any circumstances. In such a situation, he had a scuffle with the police.

The students said that the police had used force. Seeing the aggressive attitude of the students, the police also called the college management officials there. Then talks were held with the college management in the presence of the police, but the students remained adamant on their demand. Later all the students were taken into custody.
