Traffic police took action against 190 people
Durg. In view of the upcoming New Year on 31 December, on the instructions of SP Jitendra Shukla to the traffic police to take strict action against the hooligan drivers, a team of inspector level was formed under the leadership of Richa Mishra, Additional Superintendent of Police, Traffic and Sadanand Vidyaraj, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Traffic. Traffic Police Durg in four different zones conducted vehicle checking by setting up checking points and patrolling to make the New Year peaceful.
In which action was taken under Motor Vehicle Act against a total of 190 drivers who were found driving under the influence of alcohol, three passengers on a two-wheeler, without number plate, modified silencer and hooliganism. And 06 were found driving vehicles after consuming alcohol.
This action will continue continuously; fixed vehicle checking points and patrolling have been determined and during vehicle checking, if any driver is found under the influence of alcohol, carrying three passengers on a two-wheeler, without number plate, with modified silencer and driving in a hooliganistic manner, the vehicle of such driver will be seized. He will be presented before the court on January 01, 2025 and further action will be taken. Special action will be taken against suspicious and black film vehicles. The vehicles of such drivers will be seized.
