Tragic! 8 dead, three injured due to drowning in Rajsathan’s Banas river
Tonk: In a tragic incident, as many as eight people have died and three people have been injured due to drowning in the Banas river in Tonk district of Rajasthan.
The above deaths and injuries have been confirmed, by Vikas Sangwa, the SP of Tonk district in Rajasthan. On eight deaths due to drowning in Banas river, SP Tonk Vikas Sangwan told ANI, “11 adults from Jaipur had come here for a picnic.”
The SP further added, “It is understood that a few people from the group entered the river and drowned. When the remaining others tried to save them, they also drowned.”
The Chief Minister of Rajasthan said, “The news of the death of youth due to drowning in Banas river located in Tonk district is extremely sad and painful.”
The CM further said, “As soon as the information about the incident was received, the district administration officials were instructed to immediately conduct rescue and relief operations. I pray to God to give peace to the departed souls and strength to the bereaved families to bear this immense sorrow.”
