Tragic accident on Chamba-Bharmaur highway, rock hits moving bus; one dead, five injured

This tragic incident occurred when the passengers were returning from attending the Shiv Nuala program at the Shiv Mandir Chaurasi in Bharmour. As the bus approached Gaihra, a huge rock suddenly fell from above and crashed directly into the bus, causing chaos inside.
According to eyewitnesses, the impact was so severe that the rock landed directly inside the bus and severely damaged the platform. Several seats were uprooted and landed in the middle, preventing passengers from even getting a chance to escape.
This accident on the Chamba-Bharmaur National Highway 154A has raised serious questions about road safety. This is being considered another major accident amid the ongoing landslides and rockfalls in the hilly areas.
