Trailer driver dies in Deepka mine, major accident
Korba. Another major accident has occurred in Deepka mine. The speeding coal load trailer fell 25 feet into the ditch. The driver died in the accident. After the incident, questions are also being raised on the security arrangements. Deepka police station is investigating on the spot.
It is being told that vehicle number CG 12 S 5765 was moving at a high speed near TRS after loading coal from coal stock number 17 of Deepka mine. Due to the high speed, the trailer went out of control, hit the berm and fell directly into the ditch 25 feet below. In the accident, the driver was buried in the cabin, due to which he died.
According to the information, the deceased Surendra Markam is a resident of Pali Karrpara. Information about the incident has been given to the DGMS along with the security officers of SECL management.
