Train not visible in fog, bike rider dies after being hit
Bareilly. A young man returning home on bike from a wedding ceremony with his wife and children could not see the train at the gate due to fog. Due to which he died after being hit by a train. The police reached the spot after receiving information about the accident, filled the Panchnama of the body and sent it for post-mortem. 37-year-old Mahendrapal, son of Baburam, resident of village Hurhuri of Mirganj police station area, was a medical store operator in Hurhuri itself. The relatives of the deceased who came to the post-mortem house told that Mahendrapal had gone to a relative’s place in Nagariya village on Thursday evening for a wedding ceremony with his wife and children.
On Friday morning, he returned home by bike along with his wife Usha, son Lavesh and daughter Kannu. Due to the railway gate being closed between Nagariya and Hurhuri on the way, he made his wife and children cross the gate on foot and he himself was taking the bike out from under the gate. Due to dense fog, he could not see the train coming from there, meanwhile he got hit by the train and died on the spot. Seeing her husband’s dead body, his wife became infuriated. There was chaos in the family after the accident. Police reached the spot after receiving information about the incident, filled the Panchnama of the body and sent it for post-mortem.
