Kupwara, April 8: A transformer installed close to ground level in Magam area near the police station is posing a serious threat to people’s lives. People of the area say that the concerned department has failed to take necessary action to correct the placement. “The transformer with a capacity of 100 KV is located just 2 feet above ground level. “This poses a significant security risk to the general public, especially students passing through the area,” local social activist Sheikh Jamsheed told Greater Kashmir. “The issue was raised during a public darbar held at Town Hall Handwara Was.
